06 Feb Modular Warehouse Office – Permitting | Placement | Uses
A modular warehouse office can be placed just about anywhere inside your warehouse. It is not tied to any of your walls or anything else in the building by default. It is the major advantage of having one of these units in your possession. They can, within reason, be picked up and moved somewhere else almost on a whim. If you need it on the other side of the warehouse then you can do that as long as you make all the necessary disconnections from whatever the modular office might be hooked into at that point. Of course, you are going to have to be cognizant of safety hazards around you when you place the modular office in your warehouse. Obviously, you will have to think about foot traffic, what types of traffic are going through the area, as far as it being people or some type of vehicle, and/or if any shipping or receiving is done from the area where you want to put this office.
Permitting for a modular warehouse office can be simple in some places. A module office actually falls into a category that other structures, being part of the building, cannot fit into very easily. They are not considered permanent structures of the existing building where it is found and, because of that fact, can get away with some looser permitting depending on the area that you are located. It would be wrong to say that you do not need permitting for a modular office. It is because laws change from place to place and it would be impossible to monitor all the rules from all of the different places around the world. You will want to have the help of a company that knows how to find the rules and can help you get through the permit process, if necessary, to have your new office up to code and legal.
Many people wonder what you can use a module warehouse office for and the answer is any purpose you would normally use a normal office for in your business. If you need a break room then this could be exactly what you need. If you need an administrative office inside of your warehouse then this is probably a good idea. It all depends on what you need in your business and that is the best part of owning a modular office. You do not have to outfit it for one thing until you are ready to choose what it should be in your business. If you change your mind later then you can disconnect it and move it to another area. Once it is set up in that place then you can decide how it should be repurposed for another job or task.
